Tri-Valley 2002 Capacity Increase Project

Home Page

Welcome to the California Public Utilities Commission’s (CPUC) Try-Valley Increase Project Web site. Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) submitted Application Number 99-11-025 on November 22, 1999.  The application requests authority to construct and operate two new substations, 13.4 miles of 230 kilovolt (kV) transmission lines, and related upgrades to existing facilities in the Cities of Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, and San Ramon, and in portions of unincorporated Alameda and Contra Costa Counties adjacent to these cities.

Between November 1999 and April 2000, the CPUC reviewed the application from PG&E.  On April 14, 2000, the application was deemed complete, and the environmental review process began.  The environmental review process will be completed under the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
