Welcome to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) website
for the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review of proposed
construction of the Eldorado to Ivanpah Transmission Line Upgrade
Project (Ivanpah). An application for this project was submitted to the
CPUC on May 28, 2009 (Application A.09-05-027).This site provides
access to public documents and information relevant to the CEQA review
process.BackgroundSouthern California Edison (SCE) has filed an application with the CPUC to construct Ivanpah. The CPUC is the CEQA lead agency and the BLM is the NEPA lead agency.Ivanpah, as proposed by SCE, includes transmission upgrades to interconnect renewable energy projects, including the DPT1 Solar Project, in the Mojave Desert area spanning the California/Nevada border. The Ivanpah Project’s major components include the following:
