  Welcome to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) web site for the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review of the proposed construction of Pacific Gas and Electric Company's (PG&E) North San Jose Capacity Project (Application Number A.98-06-001). BACKGROUND In response to CPUC General Order No. 131-D, PG&E has applied for a permit to construct the 115kV - 21kV distribution substation, called the Nortech Substation and two 115 kVpower lines in the cities of San Jose and Santa Clara, Santa Clara County.
