The investigation will also consider whether the Commission should enter any orders to ensure that a similar outage does not occur again. Parties have agreed to a series of workshops to consider recommendations for the prevention of a future such outage. Workshop 1 will be held on January 19 and 20, 2000. It will address hardware issues, plus recovery strategies and procedures for response. Workshop 2 will address incident reporting and corrective actions, plus safety and reliability issues. Workshop 3 will address procedures, workplace practices, plus command and control. Workshop 4 will address maintenance and equipment failure, plus post maintenance and modification testing.
