                 CPUC TO HOLD TOWN HALL MEETING

    The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) will hold a
Town Hall Meeting in San Diego on July 29.  The public can ask
questions and comment on CPUC regulated utilities, transportation
companies, railroad crossing safety and on changes in regulation.
Meeting time and location follows:

                Monday, July 29, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
          San Diego Unified School District Auditorium
                       4100 Normal Street
             The auditorium is wheelchair accessible

    Commissioner Josiah Neeper and CPUC staff will be present to
answer questions and listen to concerns on issues relating to
local or toll telecommunications, electric, gas or water
utilities; limousine, airport shuttle or household goods moving
companies; and railroad crossing safety.
    The Commission routinely holds public hearings on specific
issues statewide, but people may raise any issue at the Town Hall
Meeting.
    Other CPUC Town Hall Meetings are scheduled for Redding in
September and Fresno in November.
