      CPUC DELAYS VOTE ON ELECTRIC RESTRUCTURING PROPOSAL
          AND SCHEDULES ADDITIONAL DECEMBER MEETING

ELECTRIC RESTRUCTURING DISCUSSION DECEMBER 20

    The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) will delay
discussion and vote on its proposal to restructure the electric
industry until its regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday,
December 20 at 9 a.m. in the Auditorium, State Building
505 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco.

ADDITIONAL CPUC MEETING ON DECEMBER 18

    Due to the volume of business the Commission must consider
prior to the end of the year, the Commission will hold its
scheduled December 6 meeting beginning at 9 a.m. AND has
scheduled an additional meeting for December 18 also beginning at
9 a.m.
