Subject: Plans for Remaining Work

Hi Here is my proposal for how to handle the outstanding work remaining:

For the workshop deliverables:

Supplier information on the pricing scenarios is due to me by COB today or 
first thing tomorrow morning.  I will turn the documents over to my 
financial analyst and have him run the numbers to get the min/max/avg.  I 
will then share that via e-mail/fax/web (later this week).

The other deliverables relate to the standards issues, which are second 
drafts.  I propose that the Workshop members who received assignments 
submit those to me as well for incorporation into the full document.  The 
DAWG C team will find them to be variations on the Standards position 
Leroy Nosbaum presented at our last meeting.

If the group wishes, we could meet the afternoon of August 1st, which is 
your first opportunity to pick up the first draft of the entire report. At 
that time we COULD discuss the information you have yet to see.

For the other report deliverables:

You have all seen drafts of those papers, either at the meetings or on the 
web.  We have discussed the major points to death and have not even 
approached a consensus position.  For the last two meetings (in spite of the 
discussion) we have stated that positions not in writing at this point would 
not be included in the final report.

If I had any reasonable expectation that a consensus could be achieved, I 
would be able to recommend that we continue to meet.  I do not think that is 
the case (is there anyone who would disagree?????)    In that light, I 
know MY time would be far better spent herding together (in writing) the 
various positions that have been expressed and merging them in a coherent 
cogent whole for your complete review.

Those of you who have assignments to submit documents to me have the 
following deadlines:

1)  Supplier Cost Scenarios:       8AM Tuesday, July 23
2)  Draft 2 of Standards Paragraphs:  8AM Tuesday, July 23
3)  All Other Assignments:	No later than Friday, July 26 (the earlier the 
better)

If you can agree with this statement, there is no need to respond that you 
agree.  If you disagree, please let me know asap and be prepared to discuss 
your reasoning.


Thanks to all of you who have participated to date.  Although the actual 
meetings are almost over, we still have quite a bit of work ahead of us and 
IUm looking forward to your review and comment (in writing, of course!)

P.S. - Those of you with specific assignments will get a nag note from me 
today or tomorrow!
