Addition to PSWG Definitions, re EDI

As PSWG is assembling a glossary of meter-related definitions, I want
to propose a couple of additions relating to Electronic Data
Interchange (EDI). The following are adapted from the Pennsylvania
Electronic Data Exchange Working Group report. That report has many
more definitions concerning EDI, but given the care by people in
California in clearly defining meter-related terms, I'd hate to
clutter up the list with things like segments and data elements that
more fully explained in the text of my EDI proposal, which should be
used elsewhere in the report. But two terms are important for clarity
in the definitions list -- these should be non-controversial, and can
be added to the list at an appropriate time:

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI): The computer application to
computer application exchange of business information in a standard
format. In the context of this report, EDI refers to use of the ANSI
X12 standards.

Implementation Guideline: Defines the EDI environment for using
conventions within an industry, and provides assistance on how to
implement the X12 standard. The Utility Industry Group (UIG)
establishes Implementation Guidelines for the utility industry.
