The CPUC's Office of Ratepayer Advocates (ORA) has discussed its
preparation of a consolidated EDI implementation guideline for Direct
Access Service Requests (DASRs) for use by all California investor-owned
utilities, based on the work of the Utility Industry Group (UIG), and
the result of this work to date is attached. UIG814X.DOC is an overview
of the details involved in this proposal, and UIG814S.DOC is a subset of
UIG's guideline that reflects current usage in California. ORA is
promoting parallel use of EDI related to meter data, in the Permanent
Standards Working Group. Feedback on improving the attached documents
is invited.
