EDI 810 Version 4010 Upgrade/Billing Functionality

Attached you will find a timeline for implementation of the EDI 810 Version
4010 Upgrade/Billing Functionality. The timeline identifies key dates ESPs
need to be aware of.
	
Several important items to note related to the implementation:
	*	A detailed implementation package will be made available 
		July 16, 1999.
	*	ESP consolidated bill data for a sampling of tariffs will be
transmitted to ESPs for testing purposes. 
	*	Practice vs. Compliance Testing:  ESPs upgrading from
Version 3030 to Version 4010 will not be required to perform Compliance
Testing.  Practice testing will be available for any EDI capable ESP.
Compliance testing will be required for any ESP transitioning to EDI for ESP
consolidated Billing for the first time.
Following SCE's implementation of  Version 4010, Version 3030 will still be
supported and ESPs may continue to use this version until such time as they
are ready to move to 4010.
