The Meter Specific Services Working Group is currently leaderless. Teresa Acuna has transitioned to a new job at SDG&E and is no longer involved in DA activities. At the December OCC, two options were proposed. At the time, no one present was willing to become the leader, so the inactive status appeared to be the supported opinion. Before the OCC makes this decision, it was important for all concerned parties to express their view. To that end, the options, outstanding issues, and most recent work products are included in this email. The OCC agenda includes this discussion. If you are unable to attend the meeting on January 11th, you may reply to this message with your preference or your concerns on this proposal. MSS Options: 1. Select a new leader from the marketplace participants. 2. Determine the MSS group is inactive until future issues surface that require working committee attention. MSS Work Status: The MSS Working Group has not met since September as the high impact issues have been resolved. An overview of items that are considered incomplete or unfinished follow: A. Complete the EMI (Existing Meter Information) pilot with SCE. Based on the pilot, finalize the data elements for the EMI transaction and create an implementation plan. B. Determine how to use the proposed "Meter Test Record". This activity requires feedback from the BBR on if, how and when this transaction would be used to report failed meter test results. Based on these discussions, create an implementation plan. C. Finalize the History transaction to be sent when a meter customer switches ESP. The proposed format is a combination of the EMI and the Meter Test Record (without reads) as a common fomat. D. Update the DA Metering Handbook based on the above decisions. E. Update process maps related to new business / panel upgrades. F. Address the remaining outstanding issues. These include those listed above (A-E) and a few more that are described in the attached spread sheet, including the EDI 650 transaction. Included in this email are the current state documents including the Issues list, the DA Metering Handbook, the EMI transaction proposal, the Test History Record, the DA Common Business Processes, and the Panel Upgrade process. Jim Price maintains the EDI 650 documents.
