  1. Draft Environmental Impact Report
The Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the Northeast San Jose Transmission Reinforcement Project was released for public review on June 6, 2000. Written comments on the Draft EIR must be postmarked no later than July 27, 2000. The Draft EIR is available for review at several area libraries (see #3 below) and on the Internet.  Written comments on the DEIR should be sent to:

In order to help affected communities understand the proposed project and the Draft EIR, and to explain how the public can participate in the CPUC's decision-making processes, the CPUC will hold two informational meetings on July 6, 2000.  Two Public Participation Hearings will also be held, on July 11 and 12, 2000, to receive oral and written comments from interested parties.  The Public Participation Hearings on the Draft EIR will be given before the CPUC's Administrative Law Judge, and comments will be entered into the public record.  Details on these meetings are as follows:
