PG&E's EDI (810 & 814) Implementation Time Line

At the September 1, 1998 meeting of the Rule 22 committee, PG&E and the
other UDCs were asked to provide estimates of the time required to implement
the new Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) formats for:

*	ESP Consolidated Billing and Payment (EDI TS 810 version 3030 to
3070) 
*	DASR/Account Maintenance (EDI TS 814).  

Below are PG&E's preliminary estimates of implementation dates for these EDI
standards. These dates are PG&E's best estimate at this time for testing and
implementation of these changes.  Like all future projections, they are
subject to change.  Moreover, these dates could be impacted by as yet
unforeseen changes in EDI, DASR, or Account Maintenance standards, or new
systems priorities created as a result of actions by the CPUC, FERC, PX or
ISO.

*	Invoice standards for billing:  Upgrade EDI Transaction Set 810
version 3030 to version 3070.  PG&E estimates that ESP's can begin their
testing with us late in the second quarter of 1999. 
*	DASR and Account Maintenance transactions:  Implement EDI
Transaction Set 814.  PG&E estimates that ESP's can begin their testing with
us late in the fourth quarter of 1999.
