Handbook Name Change In the March, 1999 Meter Specific meeting, all parties in attendance felt that it was time to modify the title of the workgroup handbook from "Joint UDC Direct Access Metering ESP Handbook" to "Direct Access Metering Handbook" henceforth the new name. It was felt that this change was a better representation and identification of the content. The group has also made changes to accommodate the implementation of the 180 Day DASR expiration policy and requests by MDMA for additional information. In summary, you will find changes to the Meter Installation / Removal Notification (MIRN) form and associated data element definitions, modifications to SCE's "MI" processes, a new contact phone number for SCE, etc. For your convenience we have also provided a list of these modifications and the associated pages where this information can be found. Please pass this information on to all parties affected by these changes. THANK YOU ! Direct Access Metering Handbook Update Specific Changes: * Page 11- Due to the changes to the DASR expiration policy of 180 days, SCE is no longer requiring MI response. The 15 day and 30 day response timelines no longer apply. All references to the response have been removed. * Page 12 & 13 - SCE has made changes in their metering options and these sections have been updated. KVAR requirement and Load Research information have been added to the MI form. SCE plans to install dual sockets before the 3rd party installation. If the dual socket cannot be installed before the 3rd party meter installation, SCE will notify the ESP and install after the DA install. The DA metering set will not be held up for this. * Page 16 - Reference has been added to page 16 on the 180 DASR cancellation policy. * Page 18 - The code for MI Response has been removed. * Page 19 - SCE Option 2 has been modified. * Page 28 - SCE phone number for scheduling is no longer used. Phone numbers have been modified. * Page 22 - MIRN form - Field number 5 - EVENT TIME - Description of how to use the Event Time has been modified to support the MDMA requests. MIRN form - Field number 102 - Customer De energized - Y/ N - again added to support the MDMA requirements for filling gaps. MIRN form - added Field Number 9 - was added - it is Read Cycle, and is optional. * Page 25 - New MIRN form updated.
