As discussed at the Rule 22 committee and OCC meetings, a 3-day meeting will
be held January 27 to 29 (Wednesday to Friday), hosted by SDG&E, to complete
the implementation guideline for migration of meter usage data from the CMEP
data format to Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transaction set 867. The
overall agenda is to cover policy issues including overlap with billing,
meter services, and DASRs on Wednesday, and then mapping of the resulting
MDMA operations to EDI, and other wrap-up issues, on Thursday and Friday.
In other words, based on discussion and feedback among task group members,
the general agenda is:
Wed. 1/27: Review 12/98 version of documents to identify issues raised by
overlap with billing systems (morning), Meter-Specific Services, and Direct
Access Service Requests (both later in the afternoon).
Thurs. 1/28 and Fri. 1/29: (1) Issues affecting MDMA operations that don't
fit into the categories of billing-related, meter services-related, or
DASR-related. (2) Implications of preceeding discussions on the
documentation previously produced by the meter usage data task group,
particularly the EDI implementation guideline. (3) Needs for trading
partner agreements. (4) Clarification of implementation schedule,
particularly as affected by the PSWG decision.
These meetings are intended to answer policy questions involving this EDI
transaction set (867), not to open issues in the other areas -- the results
of the meeting will identify the need for any code or possibly structural
modifications that need to be considered at the Utility Industry Group's
meeting starting Feb. 7, to allow timely EDI implementation in California.
Ultimately the general topics listed above will be fleshed out with specific
issues that we receive prior to the meeting. If you have any specific
issues that you want to raise, it would be helpful if you can send them to
Chris Alba (calba@sdge.com) and me (jep@ora.ca.gov) so I can include them in
the detailed agenda.
